Outer Banks Golf
Golf in the Outer Banks is an experience of a lifetime, combining mild ocean
breeze, clean beaches, and magnificent forests to round out the astonishing
settings of North Carolina's renowned championship golf courses, highlighted
by the Outer Banks Golf Association.
- The Pointe Golf Course is located in Currituck and is recognized as one of
the most player-friendly golf courses in the region. Although, this course was
groomed for the professional golfer, it is available to the public. 30,000 square-feet
of A-1 bent grass greens are natural turf practice tee that can accommodate
from small to the largest groups.
This golf club features the finest short game area with a large chipping green
and practice bunkers, allowing members and visitors to sharpen their scoring
skills. For a full effect, the practice area is maintained exactly like the
greens on the course to make it consistent with actual real playing conditions.
Private or group lessons are available, besides scheduled tournaments.

- Sea Scape Golf Course is the featured course at Kitty Hawk, located one block

- Kilmarlic Golf Course is located in Currituck, and its community offers to
members and visitors a unique lifestyle experience like no other on the Outer
Banks. This classically designed course is situated in the middle of a natural
setting composed of maritime forests and sprawling wetlands to stimulate the
most diverse challenges.
Kilmarlic invites people to "Live or Play the Legend" either as member
or homeowner within its community. Perhaps because of the legend or the course
setting, just 4 miles north of the Wright Memorial Bridge, offering also the

- Duck Woods Golf Course, situated in the Southern Shores community, this golf
course offers 14 holes wrapped around that parallels the water. The course was
built in 1969, as a semi-private course, and designed by architect Ellis Maples
in response to the increasing demand of accuracy and precision on each hole.
The course features water hazards coming into play on 14 holes, and other visual
attractions, including the frequent sight of deer, raccoons, rabbits and geese.
The most challenging hole is the par 4 16th hole, which is 440 yards. The greens
are medium-sized and slightly sloped.
The Outer Banks wind at Duck Woods Golf Course helps players with challenging
holes, and the course incorporates several sand bunkers throughout all of its
design.
The Ocean Edge Golf Course in Frisco features a 9-hole executive course. However,
the Outer Banks have also 2 golf courses in Grandy: the Carolina Club, a 18
hole 7000 yard par 72 championship golf club, and the Goose Creek Golf and Country
Club presenting a 18 hole regulation style course.
